Two Crazy Things on Thursday

First crazy thing:

Snow in the mountains?! It wasn’t there yesterday!

Second crazy thing:

Okay, maybe the second thing isn’t as crazy as the first, since I did order the book and knew it was coming but it did come 5 days earlier than they said it would. I’m still trying to process the fact that I’ve finished with this book (for now anyway). It was always there for me in the back of my mind. Something to think about. Something to procrastinate doing. It was a nice piece of stability.

The new project is interesting. I’m going to write and finish a short story before the end of October. That deadline is mostly because of NaNoWriMo. This is the first time I’ve ever really done research for something I’ve written. More than read a fairy tale that inspired me, anyway. At the moment, I’m reading Tears of Mermaids: The Secret Story of Pearls. The title has two key factors to my short story. I’m very excited. It’s good to be excited over writing again.
